Redesigned + Gamified Student Platform: A redesigned student dashboard keeps Lock of the Day, Breakout Plus, and class assignments all in one fun, easy-to-navigate space. Plus, students now enjoy customizable avatars, badges, and rewards as they complete challenges. 

Growing Library of 2,500+ Games: Hundreds of new games were added over the past year, including a special Back-to-School collection designed to spark collaboration and curiosity right from day one.

NEW K-5 Math Games: This year we’re rolling out Math Lesson Content Games: short review videos plus four puzzles directly aligned to math standards. By December, every K-5 math standard will be covered, making it simple to reinforce core concepts while keeping students fully engaged.

NEW Breakout+ Adventures: The immersive, story-driven Breakout Plus series keeps growing! The newest game, The Lost Trident: A Time Travelers Academy Adventure, takes students back to ancient Greece. Upcoming releases will send them into Shakespeare’s world, a haunted castle, and even the gold rush.

Background Music: Digital games now feature our brand new Breakout EDU soundtrack — because sometimes learning needs some tunes to help you focus and amp up the fun!

Coming Soon: Even More Ways to Play

Added Integrations: In addition to ClassLink and Google integrations, Single Sign-On through Schoology is now available. Canvas and additional rostering tools will roll out later this year.

Folders & Playlists: Organize and share games like never before, whether it’s your personal go-to collection or a sequenced playlist for your students.

Community Games: This winter, you’ll be able to publish, share, and follow other educators’ creations directly inside Breakout EDU.
